The History of Chiropractic Care

 

Chiropractic Care can be traced all the way back to the beginning of recorded time, with writings from China and Greece in 2700BC and 1500BC.  There it mentions spinal manipulation and the maneuvering of the lower extremenites to ease low back pain. Hipocrates published tests detailing the imporatance of chiropractic care during the time 460 to 357 BC.  One of his lines he wrote: "Get knowledge of the spine,  for  this is the requisite for many diseases."

 

In the US spinal manipulation started to get more popular in the 19th Century.  Throughout the 20th Century doctors of chiropractic gained legal recognition in all 50 states.
